Inspired by Slay the Spire and Magic the Gathering, Whenever; The Door Opens is a fresh take on the synergistic deck-builder.  Focusing deeply on chained effects, you'll need to dominate the wild nature of the mechanics to win.

BUG: Sometimes the reward scene does not show text. The left button shows your deck, the right button takes you to the next battle. Pick up to three cards by clicking on them.

The game clearly has potential (I have played the web version on ubuntu with firefox) but it's bugs are preventing the players from really enjoying it.

Mana isn't spend when playing cards, drawing cost 2 mana but it isn't described in the tutorial (also the cost for drawing would be too high if the cards costed mana as I haven't seen any cards giving mana)
The way doors of the reward section close seemingly at random , intuition would make one think that only the door of the card chosen would close but 2 other closes at random. Maybe explain it in the tutorial.

Finally the tutorial seem too expeditious and confusing as the number of mana showed up on the screen don't match with the text.

And I know I'm repeating myself but your game has potential , don't give up on it !

We recently made a change to how mana works and we haven't updated the tutorial to match.  Here's how it works now:
Playing cards no longer costs mana, now only drawing and discarding do.  This seems to give the player more deck control.

I'll try updating the tutorial soon with the updated information.

Gets tough quickly. Nice game.

Bug report: in the second battle, even after killing all the enemies, the battle just never ends. No more cards from my deck show up, so the game acknowledges that I am supposed to be able to draw anything, but I can't proceed to getting new cards or the next battle. Have tried waiting, hammering the End Turn button repeatedly, left and right clicking on empty space, and clicking every other button I can (including "Quit"; I have gone through this twice now).

Very neat little game!  I like the slow ramp up on the synergistic complexity due to the rarity system.
